What Results Can I Expect?

Our patients will have a custom treatment plan based on their number of sessions, about 2-6 treatments spread out between one month. Typically, patients will start to have a noticeable difference at roughly 4-6 weeks. The  injection will take four to six weeks for the acid to work in the body, and for the first results to appear. It may take several months for you to see results from your treatment plan. The results however, are permanent. This is because once the acid destroys the fat cells, they won’t be able to regenerate.

What Is The Treatment Like?

This nonsurgical treatment will take less than an hour to complete. Before the procedure, we will have a consultation to go over everything, including how many sessions you may need. We begin by numbing and marking the areas in which you will be injected. Depending on the patient, the average injections range from 20-50 underneath the chin. The injection then works gradually to kill fat cells, which are metabolized by the body over the following weeks. Your next session will be at least one month following initial treatment.

Is There Any Downtime?

Kybella has minimal downtime, but will have a healing period after each individual treatment. Most side effects, if any, will subside within 1-2 weeks depending on proper aftercare and how fast a person typically heals. The side effects that are associated and most common include: swelling, bruising, redness, and/or discomfort. The side effects are short lived and we provide you with post-treatment instructions and tips to help speed up your recovery.
